Choosing the Height of Lamp Posts:
Generally, the height of lamp posts should be selected based on the width of the road, choosing a lamp post height equal to or slightly larger than the width of the road.
For single-lane rural roads, 3-4 meter lamp posts are recommended;
For double-lane rural roads, 5-7 meter lamp posts are recommended;
For four-lane or major traffic roads, 8-12 meter lamp posts are recommended;
For yard or other lighting scenes, the height of lamp posts should be chosen based on the illumination range.
Selecting the Wattage of LED Lamp Heads:
The wattage of the lamp head should be determined based on the purpose of the lamp, the height of the lamp post, and the lumen value of the LED lamp (TUWR solar street lights use the highest quality Japanese NICHIA [210 lumen/watt] LED chips).
For roads and scenes with less pedestrian and vehicular traffic, LED lamp heads with lower wattage can be selected, while for roads and scenes with higher traffic, LED lamp heads with higher wattage can be chosen.
For 3-4 meter lamp posts, 15-20 watt LED lamp heads are recommended;
For 5-7 meter lamp posts, 30-50 watt LED lamp heads are recommended;
For 8-12 meter lamp posts, 50-100 watt LED lamp heads are recommended;
Double LED lamp head street lamps can be selected according to actual conditions.
Choosing the Flange and Ground Cage Diagonal Size:
Firstly, the flange and ground cage diagonal size must be consistent for matching installation.
Generally, the higher the height of the solar street light pole, the larger the diagonal size of the flange and ground cage and the higher the ground cage.
For 3-4 meter lamp posts, the flange and ground cage diagonal size should be 240mm;
For 5-7 meter lamp posts, the flange and ground cage diagonal size should be 260mm;
For 8-12 meter lamp posts, the flange and ground cage diagonal size should be 280mm.
Choosing the Thickness of Lamp Posts:
The thicker the lamp post, the stronger the load-bearing and wind resistance ability.
For 3-4 meter lamp posts, the thickness is generally 1.5-2.5mm;
For 5-7 meter lamp posts, the thickness is generally 2.5-2.75mm;
For 8-12 meter lamp posts, the thickness is generally 2.75-3.5mm.
Solar Street Light Installation Spacing and Position:
Based on construction drawings and geophysical survey of the site, the installation location of the solar street light should be determined in an unobstructed area at the top of the lamp post, with a spacing of 20-50 meters as the basic value. Otherwise, the solar street light installation position should be appropriately adjusted.
For roads with a width of about 3-4 meters, a 3-4 meter lamp post and a 15-20 watt LED lamp head, the installation distance should be 20-25 meters;
For roads with a width of about 5-7 meters, a 5-7 meter lamp post and a 30-50 watt LED lamp head, the installation distance should be 30-40 meters;
For roads with a width of about 8-12 meters, an 8-12 meter lamp post and a 50-120 watt LED lamp head, the installation distance should be 30-50 meters.
Orientation of Solar Panels
Solar panels should face the direction with the most sunlight and the longest duration.
In central and southern China, solar panels should face due south.
In western and northern China, solar panels should face 5 degrees west of due south.
