Several things you need to know about Die-cast aluminum LED street lights

LED Street Light Types

Depending on the heat sink, LED street lights can feature double-sided designs or all-die-cast aluminum designs. Modular LED street lights offer advantages such as easy replacement and improved heat dissipation. Die-cast aluminum LED street lights have become increasingly popular in recent years.

Depending on the LED chip, LED street lights can be packaged in either SMD or COB formats. SMD stands for "surface-mount device" LEDs and is the most common LED package on the market. COB stands for "chip on board." Multiple LED chips are packaged together to form a lighting module, which looks like a panel when opened.

LED Street Light Applications

LED street lights can be used for a variety of different purposes.

Main roads, secondary roads, and highways require additional lighting for safety. These roads typically require lighting classes M1 to M6.

Pedestrian streets, bicycle lanes, emergency lanes, other road areas along the roadway, and residential roads. These applications typically require P-class lighting (P1 to P6).

Other outdoor lighting applications such as campuses, parking lots, city squares, and factory exteriors. For these areas, you can send us drawings so we can design the lighting accordingly.

Differences Between LED and Traditional Street Lights

High Efficiency

LED street lights use LEDs as their lighting source. Compared to traditional light sources, LEDs are more efficient, saving up to 80% energy, being environmentally friendly, and reducing LED street light costs.

No Toxic Elements

LED street lights contain low levels of toxic elements. Haopai LED street lights are all RoHS-certified, so you can use them with confidence.

Requires Less Light

High efficiency means we can use lower-wattage LED street lights to illuminate the road. However, we should also pay attention to the light distribution of LED street lights.

Light distribution refers to the pattern in which a lighting fixture scatters light onto a surface. Good light distribution can consume less energy than other LED street lights, thereby improving their efficiency.

Long Service Life

LED street lights generally have a long service life, which can be explained by the following two factors.

At 70% lumen maintenance, an LED can last up to 100,000 hours.

LED driver failure rates are extremely low, and some models boast MBTF ratings exceeding 200,000 hours.

All of these factors contribute to the die-cast aluminum LED street light's lifespan, which is six times longer than other types of lights, reducing replacement time.
